FRANK ZAPPA For Calvin (And His Next Two Hitch-Hikers) (Unique 1972 US score for the Ian Underwood's Keyboard parts as HAND WRITTEN by FZ, complete with Frank's own corrections & annotations. Running across seven sheets of stave, as it does, it seems incredible that Frank actually hand wrote each of the parts for the twenty piece band arrangements & even more incredible that it still survives in pristine condition thirty seven years later. This manuscript comes from the personal collection of Marty Perellis, who was the road manager for the tour & has also been authenticated by David Ocker who, later, became Zappa's music copyist [1977-1984]. This score contains the score for both parts one & two of the piece, which was essentially performed as per the album version, but with the addition of a lengthy horn section in the middle, hence the two parts. Another one-off piece of history that, for my money, knocks an autograph into a cocked hat - An FZ original score TRANSCRIBED PERSONALLY by FZ for a member of the legendary Grand Wazoo Orchestra - It doesn't get much better than this!)
