LOUIS ARMSTRONG Plays W.C. Handy (2006 UK 16-track vinyl double LP pressed on 180gram VIRGIN VINYL. This set from Armstrong, first released in 1954, is his homage to one of the influential figures in his past, as can be heard in the moving performance given, fired along by his regular band from the period. Also included here are rehearsal recordings of 'Loveless Love', 'Hesitating Blues' and 'Long Gone' plus an interview with W.C. Handy himself, great picture sleeve reproducingthe original album artwork & sleeve Notes by George Avakian PPANCL591)
