JIMI HENDRIX Band Of Gypsys (1970 first UK issue 6-track stereo vinyl LP on the black & silver Track label with machine stamped A1/B1 matrices in the run-outs, housed in the withdrawn matt 'puppet' sleeve with pinched spine [the earliest copies of Band of Gypsys depicted puppets of Hendrix, Brian Jones, Bob Dylan & English DJ John Peel, found here]. Reportedly Peel complained & the cover was withdrawn & replaced with a live photo of Hendrix! The vinyl is Near Mint. See 'More Info'for further condition details...)

Condition

The cover grades Excellent with just some very minor creasing and no tears or writing. All text is clearly legible & the spine is clear as day. The all important artwork still shines for this rare design.

The vinyl is a lovely Near Mint. Being a one owner copy, the past owner appears to have played the record only a small number of times. The labels reveal just the odd spindle mark from the centre hole & the matrix numbers are machine stamped in the dead wax, ending A1/B1. Both sides of the vinyl have an incredible deep sheen with no scratches [just a couple of very faint hairlines if visible if held under strong light]. A beautiful example.
