| SEX PISTOLS Spunk (Rare 1977 UK 12-track LP with unique
purple/white gun labels, the legendary unofficial release that found its
way into the more discerning record shops due to the length of time
Virgin were taking to release the Pistols debut album. It's been
suggested this was the work of a certain Malcolm McClaren due to the
fact that the record was pressed in the UK by Lyntone [LYN 4372-14/
LYN 4733-111 etched in run-outs], a reputable company that usually
manufactured flexi-discs - we'll never know! What we do know, is that
it's an incredible document of what the Pistols actually sounded like
before the overdubs were added to Never Mind The Bollocks - these
demos are raw, angry, funny & downright subversive in equal
measure! It also lists the tracks in their original spelling e.g. Nookie is
Anarchy In The U.K., No Future is God Save The Queen - the tracklist
differs slightly from NMTB in that there's no Bodies or Holiday In The
Sun [which had yet to be written] but there is Satellite & I Wanna Be
Me. Comes housed in a unique pasted picture sleeve. The sleeve
remains in Excellent condition with a few faint spots of foxing over
time. The vinyl is clean & in Excellent condition with barely any play. A
top Pistols rarity that comes highly recommended BLA169)
