GRATEFUL DEAD RFK Stadium, Washington, DC 6/10/1973 (Deluxe Edition 8-LP box set mastered by Jeffrey Norman and pressed on 180-gram vinyl. Produced for release by David Lemieux, "One of the most exciting, inspired, and powerful performances of the Dead's entire carrer". Housed inside a lift-off lid picture box with hype sticker, factory sealed. Recommended)

Tracklisting: Widely considered one of the Grateful Dead's seminal performances, and certainly one of the very best of the universally acclaimed 1973 performing year, 6/10/73 is as synonymous with great Grateful Dead concerts as are 2/13/70, 8/27/72, and 5/8/77. There are few shows that deliver the goods to the extent of this concert, with its statement-opener of "Morning Dew," through lengthy workouts on "Bird Song," "Playing In The Band," "Here Comes Sunshine," "Eyes Of The World," and an other-worldly "Dark Star." Add to this a nearly hour-long encore/third set featuring members of the Allman Brothers Band (with whom the Dead shared the bill at RFK in 1973), and you have not only one of the most unique shows in Grateful Dead history, but also one of the most exciting, inspired and powerful performances of the Dead's entire career. We're serving up the complete previously unreleased performance, with Plangent Processes tape restoration and speed correction, and mastering by Jeffrey Norman. Digging deep into Nigeria's archives, this collection showcased for the first time the stunning variety of fusions recorded acrossthe country during the '70s. Gatefold picture sleeve with Strut25 Anniversary hype sticker. Highly recommended)

Tracklisting: This definitive reissue features the original LP remastered and pressed on 180 gram triple vinyl in a gatefold sleeve. Originally released riding a wave of global interest in afrobeat at the turn of the decade, Strut's original Nigeria 70 set broke the mould for African compilations when it first surfaced in September 2001. Digging deep into Nigeria's archives, the collection showcased for the first time the stunning variety of fusions recorded across the country during the '70s, from national icons like Fela Kuti and Sunny Ade to lesser known young bands like Monomono and Ofo the Black Company. Nigeria 70 paved the way for the many fine labels like Soundway and Analog Africa who have since continued to document the detailed story of rare West African music and it has remained heavily in-demand since it was deleted in 2003. Gatefold picture sleeve with rice paper obi & hype sticker. Recommended)

Tracklisting: From small beginnings in 1974 as a local cinema and university event, Film Fest Gent has grown yearly in stature and is now recognised as one of the major destinations for the film industry. A vital component is the celebration of film music in the shape of the World Soundtrack Awards which honours the very best composers at work in the world of cinema. In 2016 the award goes to one of the most brilliant composers of his generation, Ryuichi Sakamoto. This is the first overview of his remarkable catalogue of film scores, fully approved by the composer and performed by the masterful Brussels Philharmonic under the baton of Dirk Brossé. Sakamoto was already a celebrated pioneer in electronic music and composer/pianist/singer in Japan when director Nagisa Oshima asked him to write the score for Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence in 1983 and also to star alongside David Bowie. In a 30 year plus career since then he has worked with the cream of film directors including Bernardo Bertolucci (The Last Emperor), Brian De Palma (Snake Eyes), Pedro Almodovar (High Heels) and most recently Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (The Revenant). This compilation is a fitting tribute to his status as one of the greatest living musicians and film composers. Side A 1.
