The glossy single pocket picture sleeve has light shelfwear to the edges but comes with the illustrated lyric inners and the vinyl has only a few light paper scuffs but remains in EX condition VERH61)

Pressed in tiny amounts purely to test the sonics, the labels are plain white with just 'side A' printed on one side of each disc; the records are housed in die-cut card sleeves with stickered annotations. The vinyl is as new and unplayed)
THE BEATLES Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Extremely Rare variant of the 1967 UK first pressing 13-track MONO vinyl LP with 'Gramophone Co' & 'Sold In The UK' label credits, complete with intact sheet of cut-outs & red/pink psychedelic inner, this is the incredibly rare, highly coveted 'Fourth Proof' fully laminated internal flipback gatefold picture sleeve edition with patents pending credit on the back along with the all important fourth proof text on the back top flipback inside PMC7027)
See 'more info' for further details on the condition of this exciting rarity!...

Tracklisting: More Information & Condition The Vinyl The vinyl remains in excellent condition with a few light surface scuffs to show for its fifty years. The black and yellow Parlophone labels have just a few spindle marks around the centre hole to show it has been played, but not to excess, and still have vivid colours with clear text and the 'KT' tax code visible. The matrix numbers are XEX 637-1 on side one and XEX 638-1 on side two. The Sleeve The 'Fourth Proof' sleeve is one of the first copies of Sgt. Pepper to have run off of the presses at EMI as just a very small number were made up for final review by the Beatles prior to full scale printing. These were put back into stock and used with the regular sleeves on the first part of the initial run. Figures vary, but range from a very small fifty or so to a thousand. My estimate would be from one to a few hundred, based on an economical quantity to print of sufficient size that they were then passed to the production stage rather than being destroyed. What is also of note is that in over thirty years of actively seeking things like this out, this is just the fourth one of these to have turned up. This would suggest that one to two hundred only is the most likely figure. The Garrod & Lofthouse internal flipback, fully laminated picture sleeve shows just a few light laminate creases at the edges & scuffing to the extreme tips of the corners. Flipbacks are secure. The spine has some minor marks along the length but remains clearly readable. As already mentioned this has 'Fourth Proof' text on the back flipback in the right corner along with 'AR' & 'D1321' printed on the left, there is also the start of a number '7' visable, the back is also printed with the patents pending credit after the manufacturs name. This was not intended to have been made into a production sleeve and is now very sought after. The flame inner is also in superb condition with just a little light general wear. All in all a wonderful condition copy that has obviously been extremely well looked after from new & deserves a similar new caring owner that will treat this classic & now rare first mono issue with the respect it deserves. Tracklisting 1. Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 2. With A Little Help From My Friends 3. Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds 4. Getting Better 5. Fixing A Hole 6. She's Leaving Home 7. Being For The Benefit Of Mr Kite 8. Within You Without You 9. When I'm Sixty Four 10. Lovely Rita 11. Good Morning Good Morning 12. Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise) 13. A Day In The Life
