A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...

SHOCKING BLUE Scorpio's Dance (1970 UK 10-track Stereo LP, front laminated gatefold picture sleeve PELS510)
See 'More Info' ...

Tracklisting: This was the third album by the Dutch pop/psych act famed for their hit single 'Venus'. This album veered slightly into Americana territory but still finds time to come over all moody [Daemon Lover], incoporate elements of Spaghetti Western film scores [Scorpio's Dance] and the judicious use of bongos and sound effects on the appropriately titled I Love Voodoo Music. Condition: The sleeve shows just a little shelfwear with a bit of edge scuffing, but this is mostly confined to small creases in the laminate from handling. The sleeve remains clear of writing and all text is legible. The vinyl remains in excellent condition with just the odd light surface scuffs visible upon close inspection and shows few signs of play. A very acceptable copy indeed. Tracklisting: Scorpio's Dance (First Movement) 0:37 Alaska Country 3:51 Sally Was A Good Old Girl 3:30 Daemon Lover 6:00 Scorpio's Dance 3:40 Little Cooling Planet 3:58 I Love Voodoo Music 3:58 Seven Is A Number In Magic 2:58 Keep It If You Want It 2:51 Water Boy 2:30
RIVAL SONS Before The Fire (2021 US 11-track LP pressed on Orange Translucent Vinyl the group's debut album featuring a healthy dose of psychedelia with blues 'n' funk influences. Housed in a picture sleeve, which remains factory sealed in the hype stickered shrink)
THE BEATLES Yellow Submarine (Rare 1969 UK dark green Apple label first pressing 13-track stereo vinyl LP with 'Sold in the UK' label text, front laminated flipback picture sleeve with red lines above and below rear liner notes and printer credits on the botton flip PCS7070)
See 'More Info' for full details on the condition of this desirable stereo original!

Tracklisting: The labels are the dark green Apple design which were used on the first issues only - later issues used a lighter green label. Also the 'Sold in UK subject to resale' text across the centre of the label confirms this to be an original issue. The labels show a few spindle marks but very few. The matrix numbers are YEX 715-1 YEX 716-1 The vinyl is in a beautiful EX/EX- condition, with barely any blemishes to be seen other than the one on Yellow Submarine which is a feeler but upon a test play on our system, we found no clicks or skips and played through beautifully. The front laminated flipback picture sleeve is Excellent. The front of the sleeve has crisp, clean laminate, free from any major creases with just a few minor sporadic ones towards the spine and no lifting. The top and bottom edges are sharp with little wear. The spine has pinched ends - as they were intended way back in '69. The unlaminated rear of the sleeve has not suffered with the defects so commonly found in sixties originals such as staining and writing. Just a little light discolouring to the laminate is present and a faint black line [possibly from ringwear] hovering over John Lennon in line with his wrist As previosuly mentioned, this sleeve has the Garrod & Lofthouse printer credit on the bottom flip, this and its adjacent flipbacks remain perfectly intact with all text completely legible and bold with it. This is a pretty remarkable little gem of a copy, fantastic play example and certainly not to be missed! Tracklisting: 01. Yellow Submarine 02. Only A Northern Song 03. All Together Now 04. Hey Bulldog 05. It's All Too Much 06. All you Need Is Love 07. Pepperland 08. Sea Of Time & Sea Of Holes 09. Sea Of Monsters 10. March Of The Meanies 11. Pepperland Laid Waste 12. Yellow Submarine In Pepperland
DE LA SOUL 3 Feet High And Rising (2023 UK/EU limited edition 23-track double album 2-LP pressed on 180-gram Magenta Vinyl with Magenta Comic Insert - the long-awaited reissue of their 1989 debut albumproduced by Prince Paul and featuring the classic singles Me Myself and I, The Magic Number, Buddy, and Eye Know. Single pocket picture sleeve replicating the original cover artwork, magenta hype sticker & factory sealed. Essential)
#Top 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time

Tracklisting: Magenta Vinyl Limited Edition + Magenta Comic Insert The most inventive, assured, and playful debut in hip-hop history, 3 Feet High and Rising not only proved that rappers didn't have to talk about the streets to succeed, but also expanded the palette of sampling material with a kaleidoscope of sounds and references culled from pop, soul, disco, and even country music. Weaving clever wordplay and deft rhymes across two dozen tracks loosely organized around a game-show theme, De La Soul broke down boundaries all over the LP, moving easily from the groovy my-philosophy intro "The Magic Number" to an intelligent, caring inner-city vignette named "Ghetto Thang" to the freewheeling end-of-innocence tale "Jenifa Taught Me (Derwin's Revenge)." Rappers Posdnuos and Trugoy the Dove talked about anything they wanted (up to and including body odor), playing fast and loose on the mic like Biz Markie. Thinly disguised under a layer of humor, their lyrical themes ranged from true love ("Eye Know") to the destructive power of drugs ("Say No Go") to Daisy Age philosophy ("Tread Water") to sex ("Buddy"). Prince Paul (from Stetsasonic) and DJ Pasemaster Mase led the way on the production end, with dozens of samples from all sorts of left-field artists -- including Johnny Cash, the Mad Lads, Steely Dan, Public Enemy, Hall & Oates, and the Turtles. The pair didn't just use those samples as hooks or drumbreaks -- like most hip-hop producers had in the past -- but as split-second fills and in-jokes that made some tracks sound more like DJ records. Even "Potholes on My Lawn," which samples a mouth harp and yodeling (for the chorus, no less), became a big R&B hit. If it was easy to believe the revolution was here from listening to the rapping and production on Public Enemy's It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back, with De La Soul the Daisy Age seemed to promise a new era of positivity in hip-hop.
