A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...

THE BEATLES Let It Be (Incredibly rare 1970 UK 12-track LP box set also including the 160-page softback photo book 'The Beatles Get Back', packed with colour/B&W photos & text from the film, which was never sold separately, all housed in a superb laminated outer Garrod & Lofthouse picture slipcase box with 'Patents Pending' lettering PXS1)
See 'More Info' for further details on condition ...

Tracklisting: Condition : - The Box As expected, the slipcase box has weakened over time, with some chipping to the laminate at the corners, scuffing at the edges. This is not excessive & the outside of the box still stands proud. There is a little weakening to the inner parts of the box, without the usual creasing and with just two small tears where the book sits in the recess as a well as a small tear to one flap. Copies that have not shown any age distressing are almost mythical and very rarely seen these days. By no means mint, this is still a nice acceptable example. LP The picture sleeve shows just minimal creasing to the laminate and is very clean. As with all first issues, the Apple on the rear of the sleeve is red. There are no rips or tears, all text is clearly legible & the condition is excellent or above. The vinyl has a raised mark along Dig A Pony which causes clicks and moments of distortion, however outside this, there are few signs of play leaving the vinyl VG/EX. The Book This is also laminated on the cover. There is just a little scuffing to the edges, but again, nothing unreasonable. The centre pages have started to come loose, although those at the start and end are still attached. This is a known manufacturing fault that caused the vast majority of these books to quickly self destruct. This copy shows no creasing to the cover or defacing inside. Overall this is a superb condition copy with almost pristine contents. The box, as with nearly all of the boxes, has suffered some distress along the way but is intact. You would do well to find many complete copies in better condition, the price reflects this, even though this is the de facto norm. A very nice copy indeed at less than half the price of the almost mythical 'Mint' copy. Tracklisting 01. Two Of Us 02. Dig A Pony 03. Across The Universe 04. I Me Mine 05. Dig It 06. Let It Be 07. THE PIXIES Trompe Le Monde (Classic 1991 UK 15-track LP on 4AD - Allegedly inspired by Ozzy Osbourne's presence in a neighbouring studio, the Pixies' fourth studio album [their last until 2014] has a distinctly harder edge than their previousreleases but is still classic Pixies through & through. The glossy picture sleeve shows just a little shelfwear to the edges & comes complete with its lyric inner, while the vinyl has just the odd light hairline/scuff not affecting play CAD1014)
