HANK MOBLEY Third Season (Blue Note Tone Poet Series 2025 limited edition 6-track stereo LP cut directly from the original analogue tapes, mastered by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio and pressed at RTI on 180-gram vinyl. Recorded in 1967but not released until 1980 as part of the LT Series, Hank Mobley's Third Season was a typically high-caliber late-60s hard bop outing by the tenor saxophonist with a heavy focus on his own original compositions. Mobley had expanded his palette the year before on A Slice of the Top, an octet date featuring arrangements by Duke Pearson, but Third Season felt like a return to a looser, small group feel despite the fact that it still featured a 7-piece band. High quality tip-on pasted gatefold picture sleeve, hype sticker & factory sealed inside its loose bag. Recommended)

Tracklisting: Joining Mobley here are alto saxophonist James Spaulding, trumpeter Lee Morgan, guitarist Sonny Greenwich, pianist Cedar Walton, bassist Walter Booker, and drummer Billy Higgins. The six-song set includes Morgan's blues "The Steppin' Stone," but otherwise presents a diverse collection of Mobley's originals including the hard-charging opener "An Aperitif," laid-back swinger "Don't Cry, Just Sigh," breezy "Boss Bossa," gospel-tinged boogaloo "Give Me That Feelin'," and the intricate title track. Side A 1. An Aperitif 2. Don't Cry, Just Sigh 3. Steppin' Stone Side B 1. The Third Season 2. Boss Bossa 3. Give Me That Feelin'
THE ROLLING STONES Beggars Banquet (Record Store Day 2023 UK/EU limited edition 10-track LP pressed on 180-gram Swirling Mass Of Grey, Blue, Black And White Coloured Vinyl. Gatefold picture sleeve with original 'graffiti toilet' cover artwork, replica 11" x 18" fold-out colour poster and spine obi. Factory sealed)
#Top 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time

Tracklisting: The Rolling Stones returned to their blues roots in 1968 on Beggars Banquet, albeit in a radical new way, which was immediately acclaimed as one of their landmark achievements. The introduction of legendary producer Jimmy Miller refocused the band with enthralling results. A strong acoustic Delta blues flavour colours much of the material, particularly Prodigal Son and Jagger & Richards’ No Expectations. Incendiary and rebellious rock ‘n’ roll is not forgotten, with Street Fighting Man and Sympathy for the Devil – two of their greatest, and most provocative songs. The lyrical bite of the material ensured Beggars Banquet’s place as one of the top blues-based rock records of all time. Author Stephen Davis described it as “…a sharp reflection of the convulsive psychic currents coursing through the Western world. Nothing else captured the youthful spirit of Europe in 1968 like Beggar's Banquet.” Chicago Sun-Times – January 1969, exclaimed - “…beautiful – their rawest, rudest, most arrogant, most savage record yet” This Record Store Day edition is pressed on heavyweight grey, blue, black and white swirl vinyl as an ode to the lyric “a swirling mass of grey, blue, black and white” from Salt of the Earth as performed in The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus. Features original ‘graffiti’ album artwork, and a replica of an original window display poster. Side One 1. Sympathy For The Devil 2. No Expectations 3. Dear Doctor 4. Parachute Woman 5. Jigsaw Puzzle Side Two 1. Street Fighting Man 2. Prodigal Son 3. Stray Cat Blues 4. Factory Girl 5. Salt Of The Earth
