 | PINK FLOYD Obscured By Clouds (Rare mid 70s US contract
pressing for the UK 10-track vinyl LP, sold in Britain with UK
manufactured round cornered sleeve & the British 'EMI text'
labels re-printed in the States with unique 'made in U.S.A.'
perimeter text. See 'more info' for full details & condition...
SHSP4020)
Tracklisting: Here is a rarely seen US contract pressing of Obscured By Clouds, made to cope with the demand for the Floyd back catalogue in the seventies. These were sold in Britain with the regular round cornered textured sleeve printed in Britain by Garrod & Lofthouse. The British 'EMI text' labels, however, were re-printed in the States. The record seems to be the only British release made from the A-3 / B-3 lacquers, yet it appears not to be a British pressing. Judging by the matrix, it appears to have been pressed by Sonopress.
matrices:

The sleeve shows little of its age, with just the lightest spot of edge wear, the cover meets the 'excellent' grade.
The labels are clean & free of spindle wear, indicating very little play. The vinyl has been professionally cleaned & shows just one or two ultra fine scuffs which have no effect on play. |
