A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...

JIMI HENDRIX The Experience: Jimi Hendrix At Mason's Yard (Autographed 2010 US first edition 144-page hardback book featuring photographs by Gered Mankowitz with an essay by Richie Unterberger & foreword by Bull Wyman - In 1967 British photographer Gered Mankowitz shot the Jimi Hendrix Experience during two sessions at his Masons Yard studio at the time Jimi was taking London by storm. Features many rare & iconic images that have been used as record sleeves on variousHendrix LPs over the years. This collector's copy comes complete with a nice glossy picture dust cover, a 12-page brochure from the 16 September - 6 November 2010 exhibition at London's Snap Galleries & double-sided 'photo still' flyer for the event. Obtained by its one previous owner, the third page has been signed & dated by Gered Mankowitz in black marker pen during a rare book signing at the venue on September 18 2010. Near 'as new')
JUNIOR ROSS & THE SPEARS Judgement Time (Rare and highly sought-after 1976 UK solid centre 7" vinyl single, includes Version, both produced by Tapper Zukie, great Roots on the A-side, whilst on the B-side is a sublime slice of Dub to die for, plain die-cut card sleeve. The label has the previous owners name written discreetly on the logo on the A-Side with no paper loss, whilst the vinyl is between Near Mint and Excellent with little sign of play at all - a really stunning copy ofthis great rarity! KB5529)
TUBBY HAYES & THE ALL-STARS Return Visit! (Rare 1963 UK first press 5-track mono vinyl LP on the 'rough' textured black & silver Fontana label, recorded live in New York on the 23rd of June, 1962, front laminated flipback picture sleeve. Both sleeve & vinyl are in fantastic condition! TL5195)
See 'More Info' for further details ...

Tracklisting: This legendary album recorded during Tubbs' second American tour almost needs no introduction & has since become a sought after gem in the Jazz world. The personnel involved (organised by the great Quincy Jones especially for this session) give you a clue as to the quality of this album : Tubby Hayes - Tenor Sax & Vibes "Jimmy Gloomy" - Tenor Sax & Flute Roland Kirk - Tenor Sax, Flute, Nose-Flute, Manzello & Stritch Walter Bishop Jr. - Piano Sam Jones - Bass Louis Hayes - Drums Sam Jones & Lewis Hayes were Julian 'Cannonball' Adderley's regular rhythm section, Roland Kirk has since become legendary in his own right & "Jimmy Gloomy" was none other than the great James Moody! Condition :- The sleeve shows light discolouration to the reverse, but nothing too severe with the flipbacks secure. There is the odd scuff to the edges with just a small nick to the spine, affecting the 'H' of Hayes, leaving the rest of the text legible. The front image remains clear and the laminate firm. An excellent copy. The vinyl has been professionally cleaned & remains in Excellent condition. There is just the odd faint hairline visible leaving a wonderful overal deep sheen. The rough Fontana label especially shows spindle wear and this copy has just a couple of faint marks indicating minimal play over the years. All in all an astonishing copy of this legendary album that deserves a place in any self respecting Jazz collection! Tracklisting : 1. Afternoon In Paris 2. I See With My Third "I" 3. Lady 'E' 4. Stitt's Tune 5. Medley : If I Had You / Alone Together / For Heaven's Sake
DAVID BOWIE Low (1977 Japanese orange label 11-track LP, housed in a deluxe picture sleeve with fold-out orange insert with Japanese text, album credits, English lyrics & wide picture/tracklisting obi-strip. Tracklisting: 1. Speed Of Life 2. Breaking Glass 3. What In The World 4. Sound And Vision 5. Always Crashing In The Same Car 6. Be My Wife 7. A New Career In A New Town 8. Warszawa 9. Art Decade 10. Weeping Wall 11. Subterraneans
