A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...
| HALL & OATES H2O (Original Master Recording
limited edition Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab 11-track LP specially
plated & pressed on 180-gram High Definition Vinyl
at 33RPM. Their classic 1982 album including the Top 10 hit
songs Maneater, One On One, and Family Man. Deluxe gatefold
picture sleeve individualy gold-foil numbered, factory sealed)
Tracklisting: 1982 MULTI-PLATINUM SMASH BOTH CREATIVELY AMBITIOUS AND COMMERCIALLY SUCCESSFUL
Hall and Oates' biggest-selling album also stands as their most ambitious. Recorded in 1982, when the duo practically owned the pop market, H20 strikes a keen equilibrium between polish, melody, muscle, and craft. The vocalists expand the emotional reach of their songwriting, and shepherd meticulous production and measured arrangements toward thrilling intersections of blue-eyed soul, edge new wave, soft rock, and dance. Staked to two giant singles, the double-platinum affair lingers as the group's last masterwork.
Oh-oh, here she comes! Yes, you know the refrain. In their number-one smash and album-opening "Maneater," Hall and Oates distill all the trademark traits that made their music irresistible. Swinging verse structures; call-and-responses choruses; catchy, stick-in-your-head hooks; smooth synthesizer layers; doo-wop vocal fills; and here, even a reggae-nodding rhythm and cool saxophone lines to stir up the mood and atmosphere. The blend of seemingly disparate styles would seem disastrous in nearly any other artists' hands, yet here, it's euphoria. All of H20 follows suit.
Simply look to the other Top Ten hit, "One on One," an elegantly seductive jam sent up with witty metaphors, mellow balladic foundations, syncopated singing, falsetto stretches, and percolating drum-machine beats that add to the soulful feel. Or to the attractive power-pop of "Delayed Reaction," slinky and sensual "Open All Night," mechanized synthpop statement "Crime Pays," fun-loving spirit of "Italian Girls," and horn-laden "Art of Heartbreak." Again claiming an advantage lost on most of their contemporary pop peers, Hall and Oates cut the album with their superb touring band in support, buttressing the fare with genuine instruments and full-bodied tones.
After the release of H20, Hall and Oates soon became history's all-time biggest-selling male duo. This early 80s benchmark has much to do with their achievement, and deserves to be heard in the best-possible fidelity. Look no further.

| JIMI HENDRIX Axis: Bold As Love (Rare original 1967 first UK

matrix numbers & the all important rarely seen orange lyric
insert & E.J. Day printed front laminated internal flipback
gatefold picture sleeve) See more info for further info on
condition... #Top 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time
Tracklisting: Both mono and stereo mixes of Jimi's first two albums were made by Jimi, Chas Chandler, and Eddie Kramer at Olympic Studios in 1967. Final stereo mixing for the album was done on October 31st and November 1st, 1967. Chandler and Kramer completed a mono mix of the album on November 2nd, 1967.
There are noticable differences between the two mixes.
EXP is longer with extended feedback at the end and the vocals are quieter.
Castles Made Of Sand features a different vocal performance.
One Rainy Wish has a slightly different ending.
There are other subtle differences too across the entire album as a result of the separate mixing to mono as opposed to merely combining the stereo tracks.
Condition :-
The gatefold (Stereo stickered) picture sleeve grades VG with some minor corner scuffs to the laminate. There is no writing & the inner flipbacks are secure with no signs of repair. Some very light ageing to the laminate is apparent with minor marks here or there. A nice example.
The rare insert does show signs of age with creasing/scuffs and pinholes to the corner. All text is legible.
The labels are bright with a sharp silver print & a few spindle marks are evident. The vinyl [VG] has been professionally cleaned & play graded. There are some light hairline marks/scuffs not affecting play & otherwise the sound quality is superb, thanks to the quality of British vinyl pressings of the sixties. The occasional light background surface is apparent in the quieter sections with the odd faint click barely audible (tracks A5/7) & with no distortion. A nice, if not mint, example of a must own Hendrix first press.
