Unavailable on vinyl for decades, XTC's sixth studio album Mummer returns in a newly restored audiophile edition, complete with its original - yet never previously used - sleeve artwork. Originally released in 1983, the album marked a defining turning point: their first as a studio-only band after retiring from live performance. Freed from the constraints of touring, XTC embraced a widescreen approach to arrangement and production, exploring textures and ideas unconcerned with how they might translate onstage.
