THE ELGINS Darling Baby (1966 UK Mono 12-track vinyl LP, front laminated picture sleeve with flipbacks. Northern soul faves the Elgins sole longplayer is a game of two halves, featuring equal parts uptempo classic Motown alongside some deep soul cuts that sound like they may have been created at Muscle Shoals - both are winners! The sleeve shows some light laminate rippling and a little wear to the opening edge, a date has been written on the reverse as well, otherwise all text is clearly legible with secure flipbacks. The vinyl is graded VG/VG+ as there are some light hairlines visible and some spindle wear, playtesting reveals no great loss in fidelity and still sounds great, priced advantageously - the first copy we've had too!
