 | STATUS QUO Picturesque Matchstickable Messages From The
Status Quo (Impossibly rare DEBUT album from one of the
world's best known rock bands, here in their first psychedelic
incarnation, which they were soon to discard in favour of their
morefamiliar sound as the album failed to chart and the
follow-up Spare Parts fared as badly. The acid-induced sound
makes some good use of phasing and psychedelic whimsy
vocals to give a very definite 1967-68 sound. The album
includes covers of Spicks And Specks and Green Tambourine
as well as the original standout tracks Black Veils Of
Melancholy and Technicolor Dreams as well as the well known
Pictures Of Matchstick Men, front laminated flipback picture
sleeve. The sleeve shows obvious discolouration, mainly to
the back, with the front showing creasing at the
edges/corners showing light laminate lift & the colours still
bright & vibrant. The vinyl is graded as Excellent & has been
professionally cleaned & playtested; the surface area of the
vinyl shows a few light hairlines with the labels showing a
degree of spindlewear. Not Mint, but a perfectly acceptable
play copy)

It's finally here! Metallica's eponymous album, better known as The Black Album, is remastered and will be available everywhere on September 10th, 2021, twenty years after it was first released. The Black Album is one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed records of all time, with global sales of more than 35 million, and contains a series of unrelenting singles, "Enter Sandman," "The Unforgiven", "Nothing Else Matters," "Wherever I May Roam," and "Sad But True."
It was recorded in an eight-month span at One on One Recording Studios in Los Angeles. The recording of the album was troubled, however, and during production the band frequently came into conflict with their new producer, Bob Rock. The album marked a change in the band's sound from the thrash metal style of the previous four albums to a slower and heavier style. Metallica promoted Metallica with a series of tours.
