A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...

LANA DEL REY Did You Know That There's A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd (2023 UK/EU 16-track double album 2-LP pressed on 180-gram black vinyl, with cool illustrated picture centre labels. Her ninth studio album comprises 16 songs and interludes featuring Father John Misty, Tommy Genesis, JonBatiste, Bleachers, SYML, and Riopy. Gatefold picture sleeve, factory sealed. Recommended)

Tracklisting: Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey has confirmed her upcoming ninth studio album Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, out March 10, 2023. "Fuck me to death," she sings on the track's chorus, co-written with Mike Hermosa. "Love me until I love myself/There's a tunnel under Ocean Boulevard." The song clocks in at nearly five minutes and features her sultry vocals seamlessly floating across dense instrumentation. Shortly after the album's announcement, Del Rey shared a typewritten letter where she thanked her friends who helped make the album, including Father John Misty and Antonoff. Other collaborators on the album include Jon Batiste, Antonoff's Bleachers, Father John Misty, Judah Smith, Tommy Genesis, and SYML. All were thanked individually in her note. "What can I say! I'm so grateful to be present and feeling effervescent today," Del Rey wrote in a typewritten letter on her private @Honeymoon Instagram. "With a mind full of violets and a forehead warmed by the sun as I pray in the garden." She added, "It all begun for fun, playing on lazy Sunday afternoons that turned into tunes [with] big orchestras and simple melodies that matched each moment we were in." To Antonoff, Del Rey wrote, "And of course, for Jack for sitting down now and then to write effortless ballads that seem to come out fully intact as though they were always there. And putting the icing on this cake. And for being such a lovely friend, and also for giving me Margaret." Del Rey ended her note by thanking her photographer Neil Krug "for these pictures that say 1,000 words." Krug had previously worked with the singer in 2014 for the standout imagery accompanying her album Ultraviolence. "The music is for fun and for you and for me and not always free unless you're streaming ha - but spirited with the best of intentions!" Del Rey wrote. Did You Know That There's A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd follows Del Rey's contribution to Taylor Swift's "Snow on the Beach" on her recent album, Midnights. Side A 1. The Grants 2. Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd 3. Sweet 4. A&W Side B 1. Judah Smith Interlude 2. Candy Necklace (feat. Jon Batiste) 3. Jon Batiste Interlude 4. Kintsugi Side C 1. Fingertips 2. TUBBY HAYES Tubby's Groove (Outstanding British Jazz 1960 first UK press 6-track deep groove mono LP on the Tempo label, recorded in Tubbs' prime in December 1959 at Decca Studios & widely considered his greatest studio album. Also stars TerryShannon, Jeff Clyne & Phil Seamen & includes 'Embers' where Tubby plays the vibes, fully laminated flipback picture sleeve. See 'more info' for condition details... TAP29)

Tracklisting: 1. Tin Tin Deo 2. Embers 3. Like Someone In Love 4. The Surrey With The Fringe On Top 5. Sunny Monday 6. Blue Hayes Condition :- The laminate shows surprisingly little signs of age - just a tiny tear at opening edge. Both panels appear Excellent with light ringwear and corner creasing. All text remains clear and fully legible. On closer inspection there is the lightest of scuffing to the lower edge. There are no signs of this ever having been a 'smokers copy'. Overall graded EX. The heavyweight vinyl has received a deep clean on a top of the range Matrix machine & a careful play test. Playback is outstanding. The clarity & depth of Decca's recording quality at this point was premiership status [just look at the prices achieved in the classical world for Decca 'SXL' series records]. On a mono setting, there is no distortion or intrusive surface noise. There are only a few of the lightest hairlines & just a little faint spindle wear by the centre hole label to indicate previous play. The vinyl is a very healthy, Excellent example & you are unlikely to find a better one. This is Tubby's Groove = BIG recommendation.
