After breaking up their first band The Tourists and ending their personal relationship Dave Stewart and Annie Lennox decided to continue working together and formed The Eurythmics. The debut album 'In The Garden' was well recieved but sold poorly and it was the follow up 'Sweet Dreams' with it's haunting title track that boke the band worldwide. For the remainder of the decade they cointinued to release strong albums to both critical and commercail acclaim. Dave Stewart was aslo in high demand as a producer from some of musics biggest artists such as Bob Dylan. The band took an open ended break in 1990 issuing a 'Greatest Hits' collection the following year. Annie released her debut solo album 'Diva' in 1992 and Dave continued to record and produe his own projects as well as others. The duo reunited for the album 'Peace' which was their first album of new material in a decade and they accomapanied the release with a world tour which proved a huge success wherever it played.
