Rock & roll wild child Avril Lavigne hit big in summer 2002 with her spiky-fun debut song 'Complicated,' shifting pop music into a different direction. Lavigne, who was 17 at the time, didn't seem concerned with the glamor of the TRL-dominated pop world and such confidence allowed her star power to soar. Avril's dreams became reality when she was just 16 when L.A Reid offered her a recording contract and persuaded her to surround herself with prime songwriters and producers, but it wasn't impressive enough for her to continue. She had always relied on her own ideas to create a musical spark and things weren't going as planned. She headed for Los Angeles where Producer/songwriter Clif Magness who tweaked her melodic, edgy sound and her debut, 'Let Go', sent her into super stardom. Her second album 'Under My Skin' proved that she was certainly no fluke. The album rocketd up the charts on both sides of the Atlantic as did the first single 'Don't Tell Me'. The future is looking extremely bright for Avril Lavigne and her promos and numerous different worldwide issues of her albums are becoming extremly collectable. With a fantastic selection of music to choose from, there is no shortage of back catalogue rarities, amazing memorabilia and quality collectibles, all available right here in our specialist Avril Lavigne collectors store. |
