DAVID BOWIE Space Oddity (50th anniversary edition of Bowie's
seminal album featuring a brand new mix by original producer Tony
Visconti, and a new die cut O-card picture sleeve. Originally released
14thNovember 1969, the sophomore effort from Bowie was a big
turning point from his 1967 debut. The album most famously
introduces the character of Major Tom in 'Space Oddity' which would
go on to be one of his most enduring classics. The new mixof the
album now features the title track of the boxset 'Conversation Piece'
restored to the track listing in its initially intended position before it
was originally dropped due to time constraints of vinyl. The vinyl for
this 50th anniversary edition has been randomly distributed worldwide
with a mixture of hand-numbered labels; numbers 1 to 1969 are
SILVER vinyl and numbers 1970 to 2019 are GOLD vinyl, with the
remainder being un-numbered BLACK vinyl. This example remains
brand new & unplayed with its original shrink intact - it has been
opened along the top edge to confirm the vinyl colour, which is GOLD.

DAVID BOWIE Space Oddity (1969 Dutch STEREO 7" vinyl single,
with intact three prong centre, also including Wild Eyed Boy From Free
Cloud, paper picture sleeve. This copy also has a 'Sample Record'
stickered A-Side label but just to add to the fun it is from Polyphon
Austria. As it to be expected with a forty year old thin paper
sleeve of this type, there is a little edge scuffing & some age rippling,
but this doesn't detract from the period feel of the piece. The vinyl
remainsin excellent condition, with just a couple of very light surface
scuffs to show from its historic travels - A nice copy 704201BW)
