THE ATTACK Neville Thumbcatch (Rare original 1968 UK dark blue and white Decca label 2-track MONO 7'' vinyl DEMO single with 4-prong push-out centre intact. Neville Thumbcatch is a catchy pop-psych song telling the story of a man and his allotment, whilst the flip Lady Orange Peelcatches them at quite possibly their strangest! Alas, the single failed at the time and is consequently now hard to find. This particular rarity comes from the vast personal archive collection of a former music critic and journalist, played once for review then locked away in storage for more than 30 years - you will have a job to find one in better condition than this! THE ATTACK Try It (Very Rare January 1967 UK 'A' label demonstration vinyl 7" for the debut single release by the short-lived Garage Psych/Mod combo from London, with custom 'Demonstration Sample - Not For Sale' print, '27-1-67' release date text & four-prong centre. Also features the belting b-side 'We Don't Know', complete with period die-cut Decca company sleeve. The vinyl has been play tested & the sound is fantastic with no jumps. The vinyl grades VG- with light surface wear, multiple paper hairlines & scuff marks causing minor background surface during playback. Note: there is a tiny scratch on the b-side causing a few faint clicks on rotation. Thanks to the quality of British Decca pressings of this period, condition is mostly cosmetic & the sound quality remains very agreeable. Far from mint, this is still a great example for the collector F.12550) more...
