STEVE STRANGE Blitzed! The Autobiography Of Steve Strange
(Scarce 2002 UK 224 page hardback book, the candid
autobiography of night club impresario, pop star and founding
father of New Romanticism, Steve Strange. For a nanosecond
in the early1980s he was the most fashionable man on the
planet. The driving force behind the legendary Billy's and Blitz
clubs and the singer with electro pop pioneers Visage. Nearly
twenty years and over £100,000 of heroin later he was caught
stealing adoll from a supermarket. Ignominious declines
have rarely been more spectacular but Strange, who in 1982
spent £1,500 on a fetching leather zoot suit, always did have
a penchant for excess. This copy comes with the original dust
cover, and apart from some light wear is otherwise fantastic)

STEVE STRANGE / VISAGE In The Year 2525 (Very rare 1982 UK
promotional/withdrawn 7" vinyl single with plain white labels and
'PALACE1 A1 / PALACE B1' matrices and Utopia pressing plant logo.
Between 1982 and 1984 Visage took a two-year hiatus from releasing
new material dueto contractual difficulties, this cover of the Zager &
Evans '60s hit was intended to be a single release through Stiff
Records [the Palace catalogue number is presumably a reference to
the Camden Palace where SteveStrange's legendary Blitzclub was
held] but plans were shelved with only two or three copies
rumoured to exist. The A-Side was eventually released on the Visage
Greatest Hits album in 1983, the atmospheric 'Strange Connexions' on
the B-Side has never been released. The picture sleeve is unique to
this release. This one previous owner copy was obtained from a
former Stiff Records employee and is in Near Mint condition [just a
little ringwear to sleeve]. We can find no evidence of a complete copy
[both sleeve and vinyl] selling before - Highly recommended
