SHANE FENTON & THE FENTONES The Fentonian (Rare 1961
UK fourteen page magazine produced by the official fan club.
Measuring 8" by 6½", the cover features a picture of 'Shane
Fenton' but the other pages are typed and the whole thing is
held together by two staples to the left edge. Inside you will
find a wealth of information including tour dates for the Larry
Parnes package tour for that year, some info from 'Shane &
the Boys' including a list of his stage suits, info on other acts
including Billy fury, Dave Berry & Jerry Lordan. Not
surprisingly for fifty five year old paper goods, the outside is
now a little grubby with minor discolouration and some age
yellowing to the pages but miraculously it remains free of rips
and the rusted staples are still holding it together. A
wonderful curio of a time in 1961 BB [Before The Beatles]
when Rock & Roll was a new thing and there still was an
innocence to it all before the sixties 'grew up')
