ORLA WREN / AARON MARTIN / ISNAJ DUI The Blizzard That Birthed Her (2013 UK limited edition strictly limited edition 4-track 10" vinyl EP and 8-track CD - The Blizzard That Birthed Her began life as two original tracks by Orla Wren [aka Tui]: 'Five Acre Ladder' and 'Mountains And Wishbones' which were recorded in the same session. Tui then worked the cello, bass and vocals of Aaron Martin into two alternative versions of each track. He then offered the same to Isnaj Dui [aka British flutist Katie English] who contributed some flute for him to then create the two versions with her as guest. To complete the companion 8-track letter pressed CD version the two "reprise" versions were created by Tui utilizing parts from the other tracks. The stunning bespoke packaging designed by Daniel Crossley finds the CD with 4 miniature prints and a letter pressed wrap-around textured card wallet while the 10" sits inside a reverse board heavy card picture sleeve with a printed inner and two double-sided large prints, all placed within the large-tagged / letter-pressed black envelope! more...
