NEIL YOUNG Hot Summer Nights In London (2008 UK Region 0 NTSC DVD - What does a musician do after having long-standing big successes with several bands and under his own name? At first he takes a break. That's exactly what Neil Young did and bought a noble ranch in California in 1970. However, to relax wasn't his thing at this time and it still isn't. A conversation with one of his staff members inspired him to write a song ('Old Man'), the seclusion developed an urge to write. Just ashort time later Young was on the road again, this time without accompaniment. On stage when he was alone with his guitar and a piano he started his opening speech as follows: "Tonight I will perform mainly new songs. I have written so many songs that I don't know with which one I should start. Apart from to sing them." The startup makes the wonderful 'Out on The Weekend' where he brings the audience over to his side. The joy at the beginning soon turns into an endless ardour.
