MILES DAVIS QUINTET Cookin' (Scarce 1958 UK issue 5-track mono
LP on the Esquire label with 'RVG' stamped into the dead wax, starring
John Coltrane, Red Garland, Paul Chambers & Philly Joe Jones. Unlike
most Equire covers, the front laminatedflipback picture sleeve actually
keeps the original Reid Miles design (which you couldn't really better!).
The sleeve has notable edgewear on the spine edge though that wear
is contained entirely on that edge with a tiny split halfway down.
Thebottom spine corner has some laminate removal but none of the
wear mentioned is excessive and the sleeve looks very clean. The
vinyl is graded Excellent showing little wear for it's years with just a
few flicks of cosmetic wear, none of which would have any real impact
on play - some enthusiasts even argue the Esquire pressings sound
better than the Prestige originals!)
