JUDGE DREAD Big Eight (Classic 1973 UK 7" vinyl single, also
including Mind The Doors by the much missed Alex, best
known for holding a Guinness record for the artist most
banned on BBC Radio, but also the first white musician to
score a reggae chart hit in Jamaica. He was hugely
instrumental in popularising Blue Beat, Ska & Reggae amongst
British audiences BI-619)

JUDGE DREAD Big Six (Classic 1972 UK 7" vinyl single by the
man who was almost single handedly responsible for bringing
Reggae to the masses, also including One Armed Bandit.
Needless to say, banned by the BBC for the risque nursery
rhyme lyrical content but this is still probably the one record
by Alex that you will instantly recognise! BI-608)

JUDGE DREAD 5th Anniversary EP (1977 UK 4-track 7" EP
which sees the fearless & much missed Alex taking on Elton
John's 'Jamaica Jerk Off', giving it a slightly more risque slant
than hitherto. The EP also includes 'Bring Back The Skins', 'End
OfThe World' & 'Big Everything', which kind of summed up his
'Big' career to date. I think, at the time of writing, he still
remains the artist most often banned by the BBC. A proud
record. The picture sleeve shows very little signs of age withthe
vinyl in immaculate condition, overall a near mint copy. As 7"
vinyl is probably the best way to appreciate The Judge, this is a
must! CT98)
