Originally released in 2006, just three days before Dilla's untimely death, Donuts would be Jay Dee's final solo album to showcase his genius. Famed for his work with everyone from A Tribe Called Quest to Erykah Badu, his own material was just as important and Donuts is deserving of the universal acclaim it received upon release. Records 1–7 contain the full Donuts album, with each 45 featuring two tracks perside. Record 8 (Bonus Disc) includes rare tracks not found on the original album, recorded in late 2005 and released digitally in 2008, but this box set marks their first appearance on vinyl.
