HORACE PARLAN Movin' & Groovin' (Very rare 1960 first US issue 8-track deep groove mono vinyl LP on Blue Note, with 'West 63rd NYC' label address plus 'RVG' stampers & 'ear' etchings in the run-outs. Also features Sam Jones on Bass & Al Harewood on Drums, pasted picture sleeve with 'West 61st' address on the back. The sleeve has seen better days, with some discolouring on the back, edge scuffing & tape reinforcement along the top, yet all text is clearly legible & the spine is lookinggreat. HORACE PARLAN QUINTET Speakin' My Piece (Very rare 1963 second issue of the 1960 6-track mono vinyl LP on a deep groove 'New York USA' address label, with 'RVG' stampers & 'ear' etchings in the run outs. Also features Tommy Turrentine on Trumpet, Stanley Turrentine on Tenor, George Tucker on Bass & Al Harewood on Drums. The pasted front laminated sleeve is a very clean example with only the lightest signs of edge wear & a beautiful looking spine. The heavyweight vinyl has been professionally cleaned & plays a treat, despite a few light blemishes & hairline scuffs. There is some faint surface noise at the beginning but nothing obtrusive & the music cuts through so nicely the condition is all but forgiven.
