GEORGE MICHAEL Older (Rare 1996 one-sheet proof artwork for the Compact Disc, booklet pages and back sleeve, produced by Sonicom in Hammersmith, London. This artwork sheet measures approximately 36" x 25" and shows the CMYB [Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black] 4-colour separation scale for screen printing. These proofs are usually destroyed so this is a rare survivor. George himself was credited with the sleeve design for Older, along with graphic designer Simon Halfon. The photographer wasBrad Branson. This remains in excellent condition. There are light folds from its original storage - when the offices at Virgin were cleared out this was destined for the trash but luckily it was retrieved and has been stored away ever since! This album was released in super limited numbers [rumoured to be just 500 pressed!] due to the decline in vinyl sales during the 1990s. The sleeve displays only very minor wear and grades Near Mint, the vinyl too shows very little signs of play with no spindle marks on either label and also achieves a Near Mint grade. The sleeve is strictly graded Very Good, with some minor edge wear and slight scuff on the front but has no splits or rips along with the inner. The labels have a few spindle marks but are clean. The vinyl is graded as Good, with some noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch, upon playback there is a degree of background crackle and pops. This is far from mint, and makes an ideal collection filler and has never been reissued on vinyl making this a highly sought after original 90s vinyl pressing V2802) more...
