GENESIS I Know What I Like - SuperSizeArt Oversize
Framed Print
Morgan is a Fellow of the
Royal Society of Art and in 2010 he was shortlisted and
received display notices at The Royal Academy. Morgan
currently shows at Galleries in London and Manchester and his
work hangs at BBC Radio 2 and at BBC Radio 6Music. His series
of 45RPM paintings are unique, with each single only ever
painted once. Many are now owned by the original artists
suchas Ozzy Osbourne, NeilDiamond and Jerry Dammers as
well as the music companies themselves.His first Supersize 45
was House of the Rising Sun by The Animals painted in 2009
on The Columbia label. ‘I Know What I Like (In Your
Wardrobe)’ was the first charting single by the rock band
Genesis. It was drawn from the album ‘Selling England by the
Pound’. The single was first released in the UK in August 1973,
and became a minor hit in April 1974, when it reached number
21 in the UK Singles Chart. Keyboardist Tony Banks used a
note played on the low end of the Mellotron during the intro
and ending to imitate the sound of a lawn mower. This effect
was discovered by Peter Gabriel, knob twiddling while Banks
was taking a bathroom break. Strictly limited
to just *9* numbered copies, this is a 3D Print construction on
fine art paper with an attractive box frame. Signed, stamped

GENESIS Live in Osaka (Rare original 1978 Japanese promo double
sided handbill flyer, produced to promote the groups dates in Japan on
the 'And Then There Were Three… Tour', measuring approximately 8½"
x 6" in size, featuring a great image ofthe band across the middle with
tour dates and an image of them on stage at the top, and an advert
for Maxwell Blendy coffee at the bottom. The back has some text and
another image of them on stage and details about the studio album
and Seconds Out live release. Also includes a ticket for the showon the
30th November, which features the band name logo. A fantastic item,
and the first we have ever seen)
