The sixthstudio album by Genesis, released in 1974, is a landmark record in progressive rock and was their last recorded with Peter Gabriel as lead singer. TThe album tells the story of Rael, a Puerto Rican youth who embarks on a journey of self-discovery and faces bizarre encounters in New York City. "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway" by Genesis is a progressive rock concept album that follows Rael, a Puerto Rican youth, through a surreal and spiritual journey in New York City. The album, a double-LP released in 1974, explores themes of self-discovery and identity as Rael encounters bizarre characters and incidents. It was the last album to feature Peter Gabriel as the band's frontman before his departure in 1975.
