DAVID BOWIE David Bowie (Rare original 1967 US 12-track mono vinyl LP by the teenaged Bowie, back pasted picture sleeve. The sleeve shows just a little light wear with some minor scuffing to the corners & a little age yellowing near the opening on the back, remaining in nice condition with bright colours and almost no trace of the usual ringwear. The vinyl too remains in excellent condition and, although obviously played, shows just a few light surface hairlines for forty five years in the wild. DAVID BOWIE David Bowie (Super rare 1967 Decca UK custom label 14-track deep groove mono LP test pressing of Bowie's debut album. This mono test pressing has a deep groove label, as evidenced by the circumferential ridge close to the label perimeter, and period correct light blue with black print 'Factory Sample NOT FOR SALE' test pressing labels on both sides. The perimeter band around the label edge has black radial lines which confirm the RPM speed under a strobe light. Bothlabels are annotated in blue ink with matrix & catalogue numbers, and side 1 also states David Bowie. The matrices are machine-stamped ARL-7754-1B and ARL-7755-1B. The vinyl has noticeable surface marks and plays with audible background noise throughout, but no skips or jumps. Owned for more than 50 years by a delightful gentleman who received this record from a young lady in 1967 at their regular record swap and listening parties at a house in Beckenham, Kent - Bowie's hometown!
