BUCK CLAYTON How Hi The Fi (2006 UK limited edition 4-track
2-LP set pressed on 180gram VIRGIN VINYL,
recorded in December 1953 and March 1954, these Buck
Clayton jam sessions were among the first large scale
projects to utilise the potential of the new LP technology, and
Buck and fellow musicians are all in inspired form! The most
memorable soloists are the rambunctious Trummy Young, the
harmonically advanced chordings of Jimmy Jones and an
exuberant Woody Herman who was rarely heard in this type
of jam session setting, gatefold sleeve. The sleeve shows the
start of a seam split on the top edge of the sleeve and the
second LP has an "LP2" annotation in gold marker pen to the
