BILL EVANS Portrait In Jazz (Rare 1959 first US issue 9-track deep groove mono LP on a dark blue & silver 'reel to reel' Riverside label, recorded and released early on in Evans' career during a key year in jazz, Portrait is sublime from beginning to end and features the intimate trio of Evans on piano, Scott LaFaro bass & Paul Motian drums. Pressed over fifty years ago, the pasted sleeve has some discolouring, wearing to the spine and a few edge splits. By no means mint, the sleeve does have its three closed sides neatly tape reinforced keeping things nice and presentable.
