BILL EVANS Bill Evans At Town Hall [Volume One] (2022 US
limited edition 'Acoustic Sounds' series 5-track remastered
180gram Heavyweight Vinyl LP reissue of his 1966 live
album which - Despite playing New York club dates for 10 years,
the Town Hall recording on February 21, 1966 was Evans' first
New York concert appearance. Evans played the first half of the
Town Hall concert with just bassist Chuck Israels and drummer
Arnie Wise, and the second half with an orchestra. The orchestra
performed four Al Cohn-arranged tunes: 'Willow Weep For Me'
and 'What Kind of Fool Am I' as well as Evans' originals

presenting two sessions - the first recorded live at 'Festival di
Pescara', Pescara, Italy on July 18th 1969, the second recorded

BILL EVANS TRIO Waltz For Debby (Beautiful 1961 first UK issue
6-track STEREO LP on the rough textured 'reel & mic' dark blue & silver
label, recorded live at The Village Vanguard in New York that year. This
was the final recording of the classic Evans, Scott LaFaro & Paul Motian
trio [LaFaro died in a car accident just ten days after the performance].
The sleeve is Excellent with only a little natural ageing & no splits or
writing, very well kept. The vinyl is nice & clean & in Excellent condition
with merely the odd faint paper hairline not affecting play.
