Landslide - Tone Poet Series 180 Gram - Sealed

DEXTER GORDON Landslide (Blue Note Tone Poet Series 2025 limited edition 7-track stereo LP cut directly from the original analogue tapes, mastered by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio and pressed at RTI on 180-gram vinyl. Dexter Gordon's celebrated comeback to Blue Note in the early 1960s produced some of the greatest recordings of his career. Originally compiled by producer Michael Cuscuna in 1980 for the label's LT Series, Landslide gathers previously unreleasedmaterial recorded across three sessions in 1961-62. The album highlights Gordon's formidable blend of muscular swing and lyrical balladry, with support from an array of Blue Note luminaries including trumpeters Tommy Turrentine and Dave Burns, pianists Kenny Drew, Sir Charles Thompson, and Sonny Clark, bassists Paul Chambers, Al Lucas, and Ron Carter, plus drummers Philly Joe Jones and Willie Bobo. The 7-track set offers both explosive uptempo numbers and tender ballads, further enriching Gordon's classic Blue Note legacy. Presented inside a deluxe tip-on pasted picture sleeve, hype sticker & factory sealed inside its loose bag. Recommended)
