THE CLASH Give 'Em Enough Rope (Very Rare 1978 UK official promotional press pack for the band's second LP, with reportedly just 100 copies distributed for reviewing purposes. Obtained from a longstanding UK music journalist this copy is complete and includes; a clear outer PVC sleeve with 'The Clash' in stencil, a gatefold outer card sleeve with 'Story Of The Clash' text, a 1st issue 10-track vinyl LP with gold 'Demo Stamped' picture sleeve, a 36" x 24" double-sided poster entitled "The Clash Atlas Of Give 'Em Enough Rope" detailing the world's late '70s political hot-spots [Rhodesia, Northen Ireland, Mozambique, Lebanon etc] alongside a glossy A4 promotional photo.This set also includes an additional separate 3-page 'CBS Biography'. The Sleeve:

The sleeve is graded Excellent, one small corner crease and a little scuffing to the opening edge. The reverse panel has gold "Property Of CBS Demonstration Only - Not For Sale" text.

The vinyl:

This first issue copy has stereo arrow indicator on the label and A1/B1 matrices. The vinyl is also graded Excellent with a couple of light hairlines in places not affecting play.

Additional Promotional Contents:

PVC Outer Sleeve: Fully intact with no splits, a little yellowing to the edges.

Wraparound card sleeve: A little wear to the opening edge and a few tiny 'pin-prick' holes (possibly where a staple has been removed), no rips tears and still a very bright yellow.

Poster: In great shape and has never been hung or displayed.

Biography: "The Clash are the premier punk group in Britiain today", it proudly states and who are we to disagree! Great condition, a tiny corner crease to the last page, that's all.
