SPARKS The Best & The Rest Of The Island Years 74-78 (Rare Test Pressing for the 2018 UK 24-track remastered 2-LP, pressed on 180gram Black Vinyl with Barry Grint's official 'Barry Alchemy' engineer etching in the run-outs, intended as a Record Store Day release. Comprises the 'Best Of' compilation [originally released in 1977] with an additional collection of their Island B-sides from the period which were previously only available on the 2015 box set. The labels areplain white & annotated with black pen. Both vinyl discs are Near Mint & housed in a single die-cut card sleeve which is annotated with the approval info from the engineer in black pen & has the earliest '6702245/6' catalogue numbers. Only a small select handful of these would have been produced, purely to test the sonics & never to be sold to the general public this way. A superb ex-industry find)
