THE HORACE SILVER QUINTET The Tokyo Blues (Rare 1962 US first press 5-track MONO LP on a non-deep groove 'New York USA' address Blue Note label, with 'Van Gelder' stamped in the run-out along with the original 'ear' etching. Top funky hard bop date recorded with Blue Mitchell, Junior Cook, Gene Taylor & John Harris Jr in tribute to Silver's Japanese fans. Comes housed in the original pasted laminate picture sleeve with catalogue inner. The sleeve [VG+] reveals some minor chipping to the laminate in the corners whilst the heavyweight vinyl is clean & grades EX/EX- with just a few faint paper scuffs not affecting play BLP84110)
