TOMMY WHITTLE QUINTET Lullaby & Rhythm (Rare British Jazz 1956 UK-only 4-track 10" LP on Esquire, with the great tenor saxman joined by Derek Smith [piano], Keith Christie [trombone], Arthur Watts [bass] & Eddie Taylor [drums], unique fully laminated flipback picture sleeve. The delicate sleeve remains in Very Good condition with a bit of obvious ring wear ageing [small area of paper loss to bottom flipback] & with all print clearly legible. The heavyweight vinyl is clean & grades VG, sounding great on a mono playback setting with the occasional light background flutter or click with no jumps. The disc shows some faint scuffs & the odd couple of small paper marks & although not mint, this remains a welcome addition to any serious modern jazz collection)
