A FEW OF THE ITEMS WE WANT...
| TOMMY WHITTLE with THE TONY KINSEY TRIO Waxing With
Whittle (Rare 1954 UK 9-track 10" LP on Esquire with tax code
stickers both sides of the label, recorded with Dill Jones on
piano & either Sammy Stokes or Stan Wasser on bass, unique
picturesleeve. The sleeve [VG] has some thin seam splits to
the opening top & bottom edge with a small sticker tear top
right & otherwise only general age wear. The vinyl grades VG
with some faint hairlines & the odd small mark not upsetting
play)

UK-only 4-track 10" LP on Esquire, with the great tenor saxman joined
by Derek Smith [piano], Keith Christie [trombone], Arthur Watts
[bass] & Eddie Taylor [drums], unique fully laminated flipback picture
sleeve. The delicate sleeve remains in Very Good condition with a bit of
obvious ring wear ageing [small area of paper loss to bottom flipback]
& with all print clearly legible. The heavyweight vinyl is clean & grades
VG,sounding great on a mono playback setting with the occasional
light background flutter or click with no jumps. The disc shows some
faint scuffs & the odd couple of small paper marks & although not
mint, this remains a welcome addition to any serious modern jazz
collection)
Tracklisting: A1 Lullaby In Rhythm
A2 Lullaby Of The Leaves
B1 Lullaby Of Birdland
B2 Lullaby Of Broadway | | TOMMY WHITTLE QUARTET ...Why Not (1977 UK 8-track LP on Jam,

played JAM648)

This is the first & only pressing of this mythical rarity that might show
up once in a blue moon if you're lucky, but sold such few copies at the
time that it is near impossible to find. Complete with the laminated
flipback picture sleeve & poly-inner, this is a stunning one owner copy.

Condition:-
The sleeve is fully laminated & grades Very Good+. All text including along the spine is clearly legible. The edges show a few light scuffs & minor pinch mark creasing in the laminate, natural with age. The deep blue tint is bright & vivid & the back panel is still a fantastic off white with no writing. A little ring wear is starting to show with some minor cosmetic paper marks, mild peel to the laminate & a small half inch tear in the back opening. This is a beautiful example & appears to be the best one that has ever hit the online market, which is saying something...
The vinyl has an incredible deep sheen both sides - the record has seen very little play in its lifespan. We would grade the vinyl Excellent. On close inspection you will notice the lightest evidence of play by the spindle hole & only a few very, very light signs of paper wear with age with superb sound clarity. Once again, this condition for this particular record, is the best you will ever find & thus comes highly recommended. | | THE TOMMY WHITTLE QUINTET The Tommy Whittle Quintet
(1954 UK 4-track 7" vinyl EP on the four-prong purple & gold
Esquire label, includes Martini, Yesterdays, Zythum and Debut,
non-laminated flipback picture sleeve. The sleeve shows light
age-yellowing, but otherwise has little sign of wear, whilst the
vinyl is VG with light paperscuffs & hairlines, which sound as
just a light crackle in the background) | | TOMMY WHITTLE QUINTET More Waxing With Whittle - Studio
Recordings Volume 2 (1988 UK 13-track LP, featuring
recordings from 1954-55 with an amalgamation of the Dill
