PREFAB SPROUT I Trawl The Megahertz (2019 UK limited edition 9-track remastered double LP issue of Paddy McAloon's 2003 solo album now re-released under the Prefab Sprout [as originally intended] and pressed on 180gram Heavyweight Vinyl. Recorded between 1999-2002 when he was suddenly left almost blind & housebound, Paddy found comfort in listening to shortwave radio transmissions such as chat shows, phone-in programs and documentaries which provided influence for this collection of mostly instrumental recordings, including the 22minute title track which plays over one side of an LP with an etching on the b-side; while the second disc features tracks such as I'm 49 and Sleeping Rough. Complete with a download code, both discs are UNPLAYED and are housed in the gatefold picture sleeve which remains sealed within its hype-stickered shrinkwrap)
