MOSE ALLISON TRIO Back Country Suite (1983 US issue of the 1957 15-track mono LP, featuring the first recordings of the talented pianist alongside Taylor La Fargue on bass & Frank Isola on drums. Opens with the ten-part title track; boppish in style although influenced by the country blues tradition & adopting melodies from folk music. The picture sleeve is still in open shrink & complete with the obi-style strip. The vinyl appears barely played OJC-075)
