THE CHIPMUNKS Chipmunk Punk (1980 UK 9-track LP which find the Rockin' Rodents - Alvin, the mischievous troublemaker & the star of the group, Simon, the tall bespectacled intellectual and Theodore, the chubby, impressionable one - putting their musical talents to not so much Punk as contemporary AOR, like Crazy Little Thing Called Love, My Sharona, Call Me, Refugee & more. As ever, the strident guitar of Alvin is much to the fore, but the rhythm section of Simon & Theodore hold down aprecise groove. Think of them as the Jimi Hendrix Experience of striped squirrels, picture sleeve. The sleeve shows light wear and the vinyl has little sign of play)
