DYLAN THOMAS Under Milk Wood ('To begin at the beginning: It is Spring, moonless night in the small town, starless and bible-black, the cobblestreets silent & the hunched, courters'-and-rabbits' wood limping invisible down to the sloeblack, slow, black, crowblack, fishboat-bobbing sea.' Thus begins this magnificent work. Here is a 1970 double LP which captures the premiere performance of this masterpiece at The Poetry Center in New York on May 14th 1953, read by Dylan Thomas himself, with the assistance of Dion Allen, Allen F. Collins, Roy Poole, Sada Thompson & Nancy Wickwire to voice the other parts, front laminated gatefold picture sleeve. The sleeve shows some signs of age, with a little paper loss to the front due to sticker removal and wear to the edges, whilst the vinyl has a few hairlines & light cosmetic wear due to a chemical reaction to the inner, which has little or no impact on play 4FP9003-4)
