ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK Raja Rani (Rare 1972 Indian first press 7-track LP on a black & silver Odeon label, featuring the groovy music to the hit Hindi movie, composed by R.D. Burman. The pasted picture sleeve shows a fair amount of weathering as be expected, with the psychedelic colours of the design still rich & vivid, despite some blemishes & edge splits, all text is legible & the panels intact. Professionally cleaned, the heavyweight vinyl grades VG- with multiple hairline scuffs & the odd light scratch not upsetting play. Brace yourself for the weird & wonderful world of RD Burman, with exceptional interplay between the musicians, delirious vocals that sometimes deal in the microtonal, dream like passages with strings & harp, cosmic whistle, grooves & the deepest tabla sound known to man.
