CHARLES MINGUS Jazz Collaborations Vol. 1 (Very rare 1955 US 4-track mono 10" LP, recorded by Rudy Van Gelder on a dark red & gold Debut label with 'RVG' etching in the run-outs. Also stars Thad Jones on Trumpet, John Dennis on Piano & Max Roach on Drums, pasted picture sleeve with historic tape reinforcement at each closed edge. The delicate cover has survived to tell its tale & is still firmly intact [small split at bottom opening corner] with just some mild discolouring on the back & a small paper tear on the front at the bottom not upsetting the print. All text remains clearly legible. The vinyl is clean & grades a very healthy VG/VG+ with just one or two very tiny & almost insignificant paper scratches that have little effect on play.
