ARIEL KALMA An Evolutionary Music (Original Recordings: 1972 - 1979) (2014 US 17-track double vinyl compilation LP, top loading gatefold picture sleeve with flipbacks, printed inners and 24-page booklet. This collection was something of a departure for the US disco/balearic re-edit label, here choosing to showcase the unique [and largely unknown] 'outsider' sounds created by Kalma throughout the '70s - it's a sonic stew of ambience, electronics, world music and homemade instruments - there's even some circular breathing techniques thrown into the mix - superb! The sleeve and inners show very little signs of wear and the vinyl looks barely played - well worth investigation! RERVNG05)
