JOHN LEE HOOKER Sings The Blues (Rare 1961 US 10-track vinyl LP, heavyweight pasted picture sleeve. Very hard-to-find album from one of the pioneers of the electric blues, ripping his way through a selection of blues numbers all washed down with a side order of R&B and Rock 'n' Roll, includes Boogie Woogie All Night Long, Good Rockin' Mama, Hug & Squeeze You and more. As with many American sleeves from this era there is a seam split along the spine [nothing that some judicious tape wouldn't fix!] alongside some general ageing visible, it does remain fully intact with all text clearly visible, the vinyl does have a couple of visible hairlines/scuffs and some light blemishes, but these are minor and have minimal effect on play - overall a more than acceptable play copy, priced advantageously CLP5232)
