COLEMAN HAWKINS The Gilded Hawk (Very rare one-sided test pressing for the 1956 UK mono LP, featuring six tracks from side A only, where Hawkins' elegant style is set against a golden glow of orchestral strings. The Capitol labels are custom black on white with 'Demonstration Record - Not For Sale' print & 'T2 819-1N' machine stamped in the run-out. No more than half a dozen of these test pressings are normally made for any release & are usually destroyed once the item is commercially available. Perhaps side B was never considered or lost forever more, this one-sided disc has survived & remains in remarkable near mint condition T819)
